This is a test of blogger. President Bush has won. There is no realistic scenario that does not have the United States invading Iraq. Whether of not you agree with the need to conquer Iraq, the manner in which it this was handled was wrong. Mr. Bush decided to conquer Iraq, and then figure out the justification for this action. This is obviously backwards and wrong, but it is the right of a free person to believe what they will. The failure was with the system allowing one man to do this to the United States.

The founding fathers did not want to allow one man to commit the country to war, but they underestimated the power of the modern mass media. One powerful man decided to go to war, and with the support of some was able to manipulate events so that the weak and divided opposition didn't stand a chance. The cult of personality reigns supreme.

Congress needs to strengthen the War Powers Act, but it will not. The Republicans will not defy there own leader, and the Democrats have not found a leader willing or able to stand up to Mr. Bush. The question should not be, do we or do we not go to war, but who will make that decision?
